In December 26th, the teachers and students from the Youth Development Centre along with staff members and volunteers from Rainbow Missions Hong Kong visited Guangxi University. The aim of the visit was to raise awareness of cerebral palsy , and to give season’s greetings to the university students.

We split into two groups and found two busy locations on campus to distribute greeting cards and brochures to passers-by. We encouraged the students to pass the materials on to their friends and family. Some university students even approached us themselves; they were interested in our organisation and our activities. Some took photos with our students, and encouraged them to live confidently and bravely.

After the event, our students shared their thoughts and feelings. “At first we were too nervous to even say hi to the university students here”, said one, “but with encouragement and support from our teachers, we became gained confidence and were more proactive”. They also expressed their desire to go out into society more often; they recognised it helped improve their confidence will grow.
