On the 30th of September the Youth Centre held an exciting cooking competition. The aim of this activity was to give the students an opportunity to practice their independent living skills. At the same time, the students practised working together as part of a team.

Students had to prepare their dish from scratch, including washing, chopping and frying the vegetables. If at any point in the process there was something they were unable to do themselves, they were allowed to enlist help from a teacher. The dishes were taste-tested by an expert panel of teachers and family members. The dishes were judged according to creativity, healthiness and of course, how delicious they were! All participants were presented with a certificate of merit and everyone enjoyed a fun afternoon, and a tasty meal!
